DirectTV is the direct broadcast satellite service provider, which transmits digital satellite Television and audio to households in the United States. According to the news from HD Guru, DirectTV is going to be the first US Television Provider to launch its high definition, entirely 3D channel for US resident who has 3D-capable TVs.
DirectTV was blast its latest satellite into orbit and expected to be fully operation in March 2010. The new satellite will help to extend the capability to deliver high definition 3D channel.

DirectTV 3D channel will feature an assortment of movies, sports and some 3D programs. Users can enhance their movie experiences with the 3D displays, content with their 3D-capable Television and a 3D glasses to view DirectTV 3D channel.

The 3D HDTV channel will be announced during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2010 January. The show will also present those 3D-compatible Television sets by Panasonic, Sony, Samsung, LG and also the existing Mitsubishi DLP models that are accompanied by a forthcoming 3D converter box.
