It’s easy to go running off, excited about the holiday weekend. However, what’s going to happen when you get back? Gefen has a little something that could make your life a lot easier. The company just announced the Gefen ToolBox Extender for HDMI w/POL (Power Over Line).

The company’s latest extender uses HDBaseT technology to provide an easy and effective way to extend just about any HDMI source. It even throws in bi-directional IT and power, via one Cat5 cable—all up to 230 feet.

Designed to streamline those installs where an AC is limited at the receiving end, this device works with all HD sources using HDMI. That even includes hot items like the Apple TV, Blu-ray players, set-top boxes, and more.

Other features include support for 1080p and 3D pass-through, multichannel audio, and wall mounting. It also boasts an easy installation, with no power supply needed.

“This new product is a natural progression in our expanding line of ELR (Extra Long Range) extenders using HDBaseT technology,” explained Hagai Gefen, president of Gefen. “Gefen now supplies the most comprehensive selection of extenders using the HDBaseT technology and we will continue to enhance our range of extender products to take advantage of the streamlined extension technology”
