Control four PCs with one mouse using Microsoft

Taking control of multiple computers and moving files between them can be a pain. Fumbling behind computers to unplug and plug-in peripherals, storing stuff on USB sticks and sorting outKVM switches can be a serious headache.

That's why Microsoft developer Truong Do created Mouse without Borders, a free download that lets you sync multiple PCs over a network and then move your mouse seamlessly between them.

You can also set up your keyboard to work universally, as well as drag-and-dropping files, copy-and-pasting text and setting all computers to log-in or log-out in one fell swoop. The software presents a handy solution for those of you rocking more-than-one Windows box.

It comes from Microsoft's " The Garage", which is a company-wide programme to encourage staff members to tinker, invent and incubate new projects during off-hours and weekends. Most of those projects remain internal or get beefed up as bigger Microsoft products. Every now and again, though, one slips through the cracks and is made available to download.

So if you've got up to four PCs and would like to control them all from one central hub, download the Windows-only program directly from Microsoft, here (1.1mb).
